Amman, Jordan – His Royal Highness Prince Hashem bin Al Hussein honored Umniah by Beyon, Jordan’s Best Mobile Network, for its role as a Founding Partner of Waqf Thareed and its contribution to the charity’s work to combat hunger and malnutrition and provide healthy, balanced meals to families and individuals in need.
CEO John Delves received the honorary shield on behalf of Umniah by Beyon during a ceremony recognizing Waqf Thareed’s partners and supporters.
Umniah has been a Founding Partner of Waqf Thareed since its establishment, supporting its work and helping it reach more people in need. During Ramadan, this included providing thousands of healthy, balanced meals to families and individuals facing difficult circumstances.
Support also reached people in Gaza, where Umniah donated thousands of meals delivered through airdrops in cooperation with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization and the Jordanian Armed Forces.
Customers were invited to take part through a fundraising campaign on UWallet, with donations made directly through UWallet accounts or instant transfers via CliQ to Waqfthared. Umniah also cancelled its annual Ramadan employee events and redirected the allocated funds to Waqf Thareed’s initiatives.
John Delves, CEO of Umniah by Beyon, said: “We are honored to receive this recognition from His Royal Highness Prince Hashem bin Al Hussein. It recognizes a partnership we have valued from the beginning and, more importantly, the collective effort behind it. Waqf Thareed, our partners, customers and employees have all played a part, and I thank everyone who contributed.”
Dina Al Daoud, Director of Brand & Corporate Communications at Umniah by Beyon, said: “We have been part of Waqf Thareed since its establishment, and from the beginning we wanted our role as a Founding Partner to go beyond financial support. We were able to use our own resources and channels to support the work of the Waqf, while giving our customers and employees a way to be part of it as well.”
She added: “For us, corporate social responsibility is about responding to real needs and building sustainable partnerships that can make a tangible difference in people’s lives. Our work with Waqf Thareed brings together humanitarian action, community participation and the values of solidarity and giving in a very practical way.”
Waqf Thareed is a charitable endowment focused on combating hunger and malnutrition by providing healthy, balanced daily meals to families and individuals in need through carefully selected distribution centers. Since its establishment, it has expanded its humanitarian work to reach more beneficiaries, including initiatives providing food assistance to people in Gaza.
